Interminable Ramble

Chris Roberson makes up stories.
Come on, you know you want it!
Look, pre-ordering comics and trade collections is more important now than ever. If you want a detailed explanation, you could look to smart people like Kelly Sue DeConnick or Brandon Seifert, who have explained matters in detail. But the short version is, you have to speak up if you want something. Retailers tell Diamond how many of a thing they want, Diamond tells the publishers what the advance orders are, and the publisher uses those numbers to figure out how many of a thing to print. But if your retailer doesn’t know that their customers want that thing, maybe they won’t know to order it.
And that’s where YOU come in. I think that Edison Rex is a pretty great comic, but you don’t have to take my word for it. LOTS of other people feel the same way. Now, you can always go to ComiXology and read the digital issues as they’re released (cmxl.gy/EdisonRex is your handy one stop shop!), but if you’d like to have a tasteful print edition, a prized addition to any shelf, then the trade collections are for you. And if you want a copy of your very own, you need to do one simple thing.
Print out this handy order form, fill out your details, tick the boxes that apply, and hand it to your Friendly Neighborhood Comic Book Retailer this week. Orders for this month’s Diamond Previews catalog are due by January 18th, so you’ve got all this week to let your retailer know that you NEED these books in your life.
If you like Edison Rex and want to see more, please help me and Dennis Culver spread the word about the trade collections. Because the better the book sells, in digital and in trade, the longer we’ll be able to keep making it. And we both want to keep making it for a LONG time to come.
